Hobbies!!!
I have a new hobby! I know, I know, I have too many already and no time to do them in. But here's the brilliance of my new hobby, I don't actually do anything. :) All I do is log on to Ana's Knock off Wood blog and dream and drool over all the things that "someday" I am going to make. First I am going to make the Farmhouse bed, and then maybe the Thomas Media Center, followed by the Cameron bookcases, and clip art rails, and maybe some side tables, and maybe even..... there are so many projects to choose from and she makes it look so easy. Yes I know, where will I find the time, and what about the cost? I'm thinking this summer maybe I need to have garage sale... Who am I kidding I need to finish refinishing the dining chairs I started last summer! Oh well, its fun to look, it's like window shopping. Here's to dreaming!

Imagine me and...ya
Joseph has developed in lots of ways and sometimes he seems to be 4 going on 16. However one of my most favorite things that he say's is "ya". SO when he is referring to you he will say ya. Here's a little example.
"Hey mom, imagine that me and ya are driving real fast and the cop doesn't pull ya over. Then he chased ya." (no I don't drive real fast but he wishes I would, and Zac is always telling me to slow down, Your speeding mom.)
We also moved Zac and Jojo into the same room, on a bunkbed. So today Jojo came to me after his nap and tells me that he needs to have his last room back because it was so special to him. How do you argue with that? Sorry kid but you get to share a room with your brother.
Lately it seems like there is always at least one person in thefamily who is sick. I was Zac's turn this last week. He woke up around midnight Saturday night with an ear ache. So we gave him some Motrin and he went back to sleep and woke up again at about 6:30. So off to the urgent care we go. Yup Doc I am not a paranoid parent, he really did have an ear ache, he had an ear infection. So now hopefully we are over all the bugs for a little while. Knock on wood, cross your fingers, and hold your breath. We need all the luck we can get.
Sam has been having a good year, and is really imporving on his reading. At the first of the year his teacher was telling me that his readng wasn't up to grade level, and he would need extra help, and that if he wasn't able to pass the Idaho reading assessment, they would encourage us to think about keeping him back. NO WAY. So we have encouraged, but not forced him to read more. It really is a struggle for him and is really frusterating. But about a month ago, his teacher sent home one of his testing papers that he does every week in his reading group. He had passed the set goal for the spring in speed and errors. Way To Go Sam! He also has found a book series that he really likes "Diary of a wimpy kid", and when I say he likes them, I really mean it. He spent 4 hours reading after school on Friday and 2 and a half more on saturday to finish it up. WOW! I was just amazed. And am now wondering "Where can I find more of these kinds of books?"
As for Shane and I all I can say is I am so grateful that it's the end of February and we only have nine more weeks of school for the semester. Amazing how time flies.
