This year the Gillett family reunion was held in Declo, because of Carolyn's health, at Dan and Carolyns house. The boys had spent the previous week there for their boys cousins party. They apparently had a great time and spent most of their week in the pool, or helping Papa make various projects such as a fort, light sabers, and wooden guns. The reunion was held the weekend of July 28th. Everyone went to the Twin Falls temple open house, everyone that is except Shane, Jojo and me. We left right after Shane got off of work and met everyone at shoshone falls for a picnic of pizza afterwords. The next morning we went boating and then to a play out in Oakley at the Oakley playhouse. The play was Seussical the Musical, which was essentially Horton hears a Who, with a lot more thrown in. Afterwords everyone came back to the house and it was a free for all in the pool, with a small game of touch football. On Sunday after church we all gathered for a family talent show, a couple of kids played the piano, some sang, Troy did his amazing blowing clapping talent,(i'll have to put a video of it on here). Our family did a quick funny little skit, and Lisa and Kirk did a fun little activity to get everyone to open up and relax. After the talent show, Lisa had a game about which kids knew the most about their mom and dad when they were dating, Surprisingly I got the first question right, kinda, the question was How did dad pay for their engagement dinner? My guess was that he pawned something, like a bike or something, Shane laughed and said I was no help and told me to go be on the other team. Turns out I was mostly right, Dan pawned his typewriter. I went and played on the other team where they valued me more :) . On Monday, we went up to Lake Cleveland where the kids were able to fish and play in the water, Shane made a really good dutch oven meal. Before it was time to leave Tara sang a beautiful song that was very touching, then Troy turned his ipod to a different song and broke out in dance, he had every one dancing to the song "Celebrate goodtimes ... come on!" Even now I smile, and laugh just thinking about all the kids dancing except Sam, who is much to manly to do something like that (except for one move busted on the way down to the lake away from all of us crazy people). This year we had a great time and can't wait for the next one
