So this Halloween Shane decided that the easiest way to carve the pumpkin was to use his drill. So he went to work and it turned out surprisingly well. The boys were so excited for halloween this year they wanted to get in their costumes about four hours before it was time to our ward trunk or treat. Sam was Optimus Prime and Zac was Bumblebee from Transformers. Jojo was a skeleton. They were really cute. Then we went to take picture this week. We only had an hour to get our pictures taken before the sun set. So maybe on Saturday I'll go out again and try to get some more of the boys. It's hard to do these things between school for the boys and Shane's schedule, where he works on the weekend, we don't have much time to do these things. But all in all they turned out great.

Yeah!!!
So Shane did not get laid off this time around. There were over 3000 people who took the voluntary lay off package so we are safe. I am so glad and thankful that we made it through. Of course now that this crisis is past I now know that no matter what kind of pressure and stress I am feeling I need to continue with school so that we will have something to fall back on. Anyway, lots of relief.

Micron Layoffs
So the axe is about to fall again. The last time was a little over a year ago, and luckily we made it through. Now within the next week they will be laying off over 1500 people. Hopefully we'll make it again, hopefully we can last long enough for Shane to find another job.

School
Well here's the latest, after a lot of thought I have withdrawn from school. I just found that I was not able to balance everything, Sam, Zac, and Jojower having a hard time and I was not the nicest mom while worrying about getting assignments done. Anyway may be next year I will begin again, I am not giving up, just waiting a little longer. Its been a hard decision to make but definitly the right one.

Slide show
On the slide show below to get the pictures to change after the music starts you have to push play again. There's a glitch in it somewhere. Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing what we have done in the last couple of weeks. Now that summer is over, and school has begun, life has really picked up the pace, and it looks like this year is going to be a wonderful ride.

Sun Flowers
My sun flowers are 10 foot and 4 inches tall and none of them have bloomed yet, I hope they do soon. I have them anchored to the fence behind to keep them from falling over.
Also a really cute thing Sam said the other day, when he, his dad and brother were walking home from church. They spotted a bird hopping in the water in the creek by our house, essentially walking on the water. Sam said to his dad "He must think he's a miracle." So cute.
Gillett Family Reunion

This year the Gillett family reunion was held in Declo, because of Carolyn's health, at Dan and Carolyns house. The boys had spent the previous week there for their boys cousins party. They apparently had a great time and spent most of their week in the pool, or helping Papa make various projects such as a fort, light sabers, and wooden guns. The reunion was held the weekend of July 28th. Everyone went to the Twin Falls temple open house, everyone that is except Shane, Jojo and me. We left right after Shane got off of work and met everyone at shoshone falls for a picnic of pizza afterwords. The next morning we went boating and then to a play out in Oakley at the Oakley playhouse. The play was Seussical the Musical, which was essentially Horton hears a Who, with a lot more thrown in. Afterwords everyone came back to the house and it was a free for all in the pool, with a small game of touch football. On Sunday after church we all gathered for a family talent show, a couple of kids played the piano, some sang, Troy did his amazing blowing clapping talent,(i'll have to put a video of it on here). Our family did a quick funny little skit, and Lisa and Kirk did a fun little activity to get everyone to open up and relax. After the talent show, Lisa had a game about which kids knew the most about their mom and dad when they were dating, Surprisingly I got the first question right, kinda, the question was How did dad pay for their engagement dinner? My guess was that he pawned something, like a bike or something, Shane laughed and said I was no help and told me to go be on the other team. Turns out I was mostly right, Dan pawned his typewriter. I went and played on the other team where they valued me more :) . On Monday, we went up to Lake Cleveland where the kids were able to fish and play in the water, Shane made a really good dutch oven meal. Before it was time to leave Tara sang a beautiful song that was very touching, then Troy turned his ipod to a different song and broke out in dance, he had every one dancing to the song "Celebrate goodtimes ... come on!" Even now I smile, and laugh just thinking about all the kids dancing except Sam, who is much to manly to do something like that (except for one move busted on the way down to the lake away from all of us crazy people). This year we had a great time and can't wait for the next one

Summer Projects and Fun
Well this summer I started it out with a few projects in mind. like refinish an old bookcase, it's been in my bedroom waiting to be refinished for the the last two years. I also wanted to get some curtains up in Jojo's room, plant and succeed growing a garden, and paint my office front room. Well, so far I have refinished the bookcase, added a garage sale coffee table to be refinished, I am half way done with Jojo's curtains, and I have planted a garden, so far it's doing ok but, I wish my tomatoes looked better. The boys have had a ball, they've had swimming lessons, gone camping, gone fishing a lot, and right now they are at their grandma and papa Gillett's house, for a boy cousin's party. They had barely a minute to spare for me when I called to talk to them on Wednesday. Anyway I still have about four weeks left of the summer, maybe I will get the rest of my projects done. :)

Summers Here
In the last week since school's been out out we have had a great time. Sam had his seventh Birthday, complete with a party and all. We've been fishing and to grandma and papa's house and seen a cousin or two. It's been great! I think this summer has been one of the best in a long while. My garden is finally growing and now if I can just figure out how to get the flowers to grow my back yard will look really goood. I have a few projects planned for this summer, hopefully I can get a few of them completed. Here are a few pictures of the boy having in fun in the sun at sam's B-day party.
These are a few of the flowers on the bushes in our back yard this spring.

Family
It has been about 2 and 1/2 months since my uncle wayne died from complications due to his diabetes. He was a good man and an inspriation to many in out family and community. I think he had every kind of complication known to man that has to do with diabetes. He lost his eye sight, his kidneys failed and he had a kidney transplant, loss of feeling in his hands and feet, he was on dialysis for many years (about 10). He suffered heart attacks and high blood pressure. He died this past winter in March, his funeral was in the middle of a very bad snowstorm in Parker ID. I don't think I had seen snow like that in many years. My car while staying in Ashton over night at my brothers was completely covered by the next morning and it took a couple of hours to dig it out. Anyway, the reason I am writing about this now is because my aunt died this saturday it was very unexpected, but she died in her sleep in her home. I was shock to say the least, she was a wonderful person, I never once saw her get mad at anyone. She was wonderful and always called me Camilly and was genuinely intersted in knowing how I was, she will be missed, I love her dearly.

New at This
So I don't really know how this works but thought I would give it a try. Today we spent the day watching conference and hanging out outside. It's starting to warm up here finally! Schools going well but I am finding that I have to push myself more and more to get things done. The boys are growing up so fast, Zac's birthday is this week, he's going to be five. This next fall he will be in Kindergarten. Sam has been becoming more responsible laterly and reminding me that he is almost seven and in one year he'll be baptised. Jojo is speaking more and more, and becoming more independant. Shane's job seems to be holding pretty steady and he has found a good outlet for fun, Snowboarding! He's even taken Sam up a couple of times this winter. So life is crazy, exciting, and pretty much chaotic.
